Video Games: probably the most time-consuming activities for CS students. But what does it take to make a video game? It is hard or easy?
Usually, games are very complex applications, requiring many resources, time, money, people with different knowledge: programmers, artists, musician, publisher etc. However, nowadays it is no longer the case, as you can create a great game using just a small team of several people, or just as a lone wolf. Using the right tools, we can create and publish original games in a matter of weeks.
This short workshop aims to explain what it means to develop and publish a video game. You will learn about game development concepts, roles, steps, resources and many more. We will also have hands-on applications where you will make and publish actual games from scratch in a couple of hours.
