Introduction

This workshop will introduce you to the basics of Linux kernel development.

We will explore on how a system works from firing the power button until first userspace process is alive.

Goals

After the workshops, you will know how:

  • to compile the kernel
  • to write a simple kernel module
  • the system boots up

Prerequisites

Mandatory: C, interested into low level programming.

Nice to have: operating systems (SO)
